I like it for a demo. Really could do something with it. I'm feeling a bit of a deep dark vibe from this. Perhaps it's the reverb. It seems to drag a little bit. Totally understandable, it can be hard to get just right sometimes. If only i did have an electric guitar. I have electronic midi lol. Pretty neat either way. Everything was smooth and the flow was right. Really kinda chill. Keep at it

ADR3-N responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, had a bit of an ominous feeling. Was inspired by a scripture that came to mind when I thought about how most of the world is under the thumb of masons and other luciferians who may or may not participate in cannibalism, human sacrifice, and various other nefarious things. I may revisit it.

Also, not just looking for specific instruments. If you felt like programming something, I'd be game.

Not bad. I like this chill kinda deep vibe. You wrote the lyrics, i presume. Always a good skill to have. I will say, i think a little reverb or echo with the voice would've helped. You're not that bad of a singer too. But the best part is just how well everything connected together, which is what makes a song a song.

Keep it up. Me likey

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks a lot for the review! I agree about adding reverb to the vocals - I need to get better at mixing them. And I did write the lyrics, yes. :) Thanks again!

I entered too. There's a wide spread of competition out there. I tried my best. I have no regrets.

Lol, Pokemon reference

For real though good luck to all

ChronoNomad responds:

Good luck to all, indeed. And hey, thanks for dropping a quick review! Much appreciated.

Will you travel across the land, searching far and wide? Pokémon references FTW!

Wow. Someone else who had this! That was awesome though. I kinda wish they'd do a remake for the new consoles like they did Skyrim. But I digress, onto the music. Very well followed. Liked your choice of instruments. This just sounded pretty epic all around. Well done. You get a 5-vote too

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot Pauly! Glad you enjoyed my little track :) Well i am a huge fan of games like the elder scrolls series, dragon age and so many more. I always wanted to write music in that epic / fantasy style. The mod Rathunas will have its alpha release next week. So if you stil should have got oblivion somewhere - maybe its a good moment to rediscover the game again. The mod extends it between 5 and 10 hours of gameplay. Its a full quest mod with loads of characters, voice acting (about 35 voice actors involved), its own soundtrack (we are 2 composers contributing tracks to the mod) and the whole project was carefully programmed for over 4 years now. And the best about it: Its for free ;) Thanks a lot for your kindness good sir!

All the best,
Chris

Pretty neat loop. It's peaceful. No drums either. Sometimes if you use it right it can be great. You did just that. Ending sounds unfinished that's it

ConceptSama responds:

no i just fished it the full one is up on soundcloud

Not bad. There seems to be an unbalance with the drums and the rest of it. Try playing with volumes a little. I know, it's hard to get it just right. It sounded more classical than rock to me. It was pretty cool. Keep at it

ThaliaSolari responds:

Thanks for your opinion!

Not bad. I like how you have just enough detail for the song, ie bass, melody, harmony, background, the only thing I could say is more variety to the drums. I do love how they were very gradual in buildup parts. But something feels missing from the main spots. Probably cause the drums only worked in 8ths. Maybe fool around with some 16ths and see what you can do. This wasn't bad overall. I wish my 4-vote didn't effect the result THAT much, but nothing i can do with a 5.5x voting power. Keep at it

GR-XG responds:

It is the best that I can do :/ FL Studio is so complicated for me and I can't make the song better... But thank you anyways :) Maybe one day I'll try again. Maybe...

I'd put it in a movie. It sounds like the psyche up scene in Kick Ass when Hitgirl and Kick Ass are about to take on the mafia tower. Very nicely done

On that note, Long time no see Peter. Glad you're still around

EvilRaccoon responds:

Yeah spot on! That's the exact same tune in a different key made by John Murphy. Thanks for the score and review! Yeah, I'm around...sometimes. ;)

Intro is a little long

And I think you could put a little more anger into it. After all it's a diss. Be into the part. But I still like it. Beat is tight, rhymes you spittin be tight! WHOOP WHOOOOP!

=PS=

KnuklesMusic responds:

Thanks!

It's alright.

Glad to see you're near the top of the Sonic list too XD

Anyway, this song's pretty good. Not too big on the instrumental diversity. Personaly I would've made the melody in the second round lower a few octaves. Know what else I'd try, since it's piano-based, you should make different parts different piano types. Electrical, acoustic, that sort of thing. Not bad though, keep it up.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Well, this is a rearrangement, not a remix. In fact, all of these Sonic piano/electronic submissions of mine and John Weeks are all about changing the feel of songs from the Sonic games by primarily altering the instrumentation. The notes remain similar or identical to the real songs in order to remain more true to the originals: updating these songs, in a way, without tearing them apart to the point when they are barely recognizable compared to the original tracks.

Glad you still liked this song and thanks for the review.
